When I began painting, I quickly developed three primary interests: the human form, reflections, and the ways that different kinds of light delineate both. In these last many years, I have never lacked for new material with these interests, and moving to New York has provided much new inspiration.
Then there are the new technologies, which have led me to new mediums and methods; hence the laser prints and edited raw photographs in my portfolio. Even in painting, I have added a new process involving enamel on plexiglass to my old standby of oil on canvas. For me, one of the rewards of being an artist is wondering what I will come up with next.
