Mr Jefferson has been working and painting in Sans Francisco since 1971. Since1988 he has focused on urban landscape, painting in oil, and ceramic. His many commercial jobs over the years, mainly in window and interior design, are in oil, acrylic and ceramic tile and have sharpened his sense of material, and increase his appreciation of inherent properties of his two primary mediums.
After doing a series of urban rain-scapes during the 1990’s and working from his own photographs, Bill has come to concentrate on the reflections found in windows, cars, and revolving glass doors. Bill has found a favorite technique; usually using a zoom lens to compress depth and increase the level of reflective distortion.
