Hossein Edalatkhah is an Iranian born artist, whose works are rich in symbolism.  Blurring the lines of representation and abstraction, his use of artificial realism captures romance in his modern and emotional take on cubism.

In some of his older works, he assertively questions male dominance and power, and vividly explores sexuality and feminism.  He recently concentrated on modern portrayal of romance through ambiguous figures.  As an homage to his Persian heritage, he incorporates ancient Persian tile motifs in his art and uses specialized glazing and varnishing techniques for a quartz-like tile appearance effect.
